Pieces made slowly, by hand.
From a small studio in Sri Lanka, stoneware finds its way to dining tables, hotel kitchens, celebrations, and the home that knows exactly what it’s looking for.

From the latest firing, Brush stokes.
There is a particular freedom in glazing by brushstroke — no template, no predictable outcome. The hand moves, the colour lands where it lands, and then the kiln takes over. What comes out belongs partly to the making and partly to the fire. Every piece that goes in is a small act of trust, and that anticipation never gets old. It looks effortless. It takes practice to make it so.

Made at scale.
Still by one pair of hands.
Redcocoon works with a carefully chosen list of hotels and restaurants. Supplying tableware, guest amenities, and feature pieces. Every commission starts with a conversation, either at your space or ours.
Each piece is made by hand at the studio, start to finish. Procurement is handled directly by the owner and maker. No middlemen, no catalogue repeats.
Made by hand. Never duplicated. If it’s made for you, it’s yours only.

Working with Mihiri has been an absolute pleasure from start to finish. What immediately stands out is the extraordinary level of thought, care, and craftsmanship that goes into every single piece. From understanding what we were looking for, to thoughtfully translating those ideas into finished pieces, the experience was seamless and inspiring. Her passion for her craft is evident in every interaction and in every piece produced. The collection feels authentic, distinctive, and beautifully aligned with the character of the space it was created for.
This place is filled with magic. From the very beginning to the very end, the journey to our dream tableware was magical. Let’s be honest – you don’t expect this level of involvement in Sri Lanka. Ms. Mihiri really loves her job and does it with her soul, qualitatively and professionally giving the customer not only wonderful tableware, but also real real magic.

Redcocoon ~ where ideas are born, which are then fired to evolve into artisan pieces. My trusted potter over the last 5 years & a great person to work with
We ordered a dinnerware set from Redcocoon pottery which we needed to bring back to France. The owner took great care to pack all of the items for traveling and delivered. We are extremely pleased and impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the passion the owner puts into her work. Our only regret is that we didn’t purchase the beautiful leaf platters which would have been a great for the table. It’s wonderful to see small businesses such as Recocoon starting to take a centerstage in countries like Sri Lanka where handmade products were starting to disappear.

A short note when a collection comes out of the kiln, when a new workshop opens, when something is worth saying. Six or seven letters a year. Never more.
